Harbaugh + Fields (current play) + Alt + High-pick WR?

That team would be RUNNING through the NFC for years. Just felt like a much easier way to fix the franchise, as 'generational QB' picks are still quite risky.

I don't think they were ever going to hire Harbaugh him and president apparently hate each other.

I think this team is still constructed pretty fine for the future, but the Oline has to be addressed heavily. team is fine on skill players now.

I understand why some Bears fans feel frustrated and impatient already. But I still like Caleb :yeshrug:. Just hate he had to go there of all places

Well, that might be b/c you actually appreciate nuance and have a level headed approach at viewing your team, but let's be real and talk brass tacks breh...

The majority of your fans & then USC/Caleb fans by proxy, were acting like Justin was holding the team byke and that Caleb was gonna slide right in and set the world on fire with all of these shiny new toys at the skill position and be winning games out the gate on some CJ Stroud shyt.

And now we see, that was a load of bullshyt but we had to hear about it the entire off-season so niccas (not you neccessarily) gotta drink their medicine :yeshrug:

Your fellow Bears fan @DropTopDoc can attest

Bruh twitter and bears fans on here were on there/here were swearing JF was the issue and Caleb would overcome a lot of it, but the bears still ain’t fix the line

Im happy for Justin, I dont know why people are acting like Bears fans didnt acknowledge he was put into a bad situation here. We were his biggest cheerleaders, so this isnt some "gotcha" moment. He had a lame duck coach / GM year one and then had to lead a roster being torn down and rebuilt.

I think Caleb is gonna be great in Chicago, Im feeling good about what he put out in his 3rd start, esp with no running game and a shaky OL (and bad playcalling). If Justin can take some steps as a passer, PITT is gonna be really happy to have him. Hes also a good person whos respected by his teammates.

Y'all can have back khaki zack.

Ol mike tomczak in the khaki colorway.

Dude trash.

We had Vick.
As a backup.
As a steelers fan I am Not impressed.
by us always picking up Chicago's new mike tomczak.

These Bears fans KNEW the roster wasn't shyt, but felt like a QB would come in and mask the ineptitude. How often has that ever worked out? Pretty much all the QBs who are considered the best either went to good situations, or they had a rough rookie season, them the team went and got them help. Justin didn't receive any help until his third season, and the defense was terrible until mid-season. Caleb now has that defense and some additional weapons, but he still doesn't have an offensive line.

I don't think Caleb will be a bust, but that's a big gamble to put a rookie into a less than ideal situation expecting wins. The Bears are definitely in win now mode as well and anyone saying otherwise is lying. Season will be a massive disappointment if they finish worse than .500. Had they kept Justin, they could've fixed the offensive line and added even more weapons. If Justin STILL didn't work out, then you have your team in place and you either draft a QB or trade for one. I saw no reason why he wouldn't have improved on a 7-10 record tho with more weapons and a line.

That’s all I’m saying, Caleb has some shyt about him that’s in teachable, but he’s not going to be some ascender of a roster, and now because we in win now Caleb gets more scrutiny, add to the fact poles words, “he’s not picking a qb unless he blows him away”, nothing Caleb did/does blew/blows me away, and he knew this line was ass, and proceeded not to fix it.

the only reason the bears pick a president is because they will be cheap with the money, and poles ain’t different than pace, and so he cheaped on the line, paid an aging wr with an extensive injury history, paid a young up and down production te and then paid another te, and then the HC hires an oc who don’t know his head from his ass, so he ain’t doing shyt with the weapons, but then also the line more ass than Meg so how much can he do

Nah he got a cannon pause, I've watched him send that bytch down the field on the money before. Problem is I've also seen him be pretty inaccurate as well so it's kinda hit or miss wit duke

The biggest issue was his slow processing/release. But super strong arm

he's also not good at going thru his progressions. he will look for his first option far too often and then take off if his first read isn't open.

Some coaches build a system around players strengths and some coaches force their system on players.

The Bears always waited until they were behind the 8 ball in the season before they started actually running plays and offense that made sense for Field's skill set. That's how he went form being a turnover machine in Chicago and not in Pitt.

Even more of a reason why they either had to get the OC hire right, or bring in a new coaching staff completely that would make sure they got this right with another new highly talented QB.

I think Caleb talent with circumvent a lot of the retarded coaching choices this year but its definitely not a super bowl winning plan to keep these bufoons with what they've displayed so far. only week 3 though, perhaps waldron will be less stupid going forward.
