You've ever gotten a sample that just won't cooperate? I usually make several beat ideas before going with the one with the most potential. I got mad unfinished beats lol.
I usually start with drums and drums pattern and then find a sample that will work. Thats why some of my beats are shytty i make them in 15-20 minutes tops.

Take a break off music for a day or 2.. Sometimes i wonder is there such thing as beat block? are is it all in the head?

A lot of times beat block could be related to work flow issues, especially if it gets extreme like you can't finish anything. There's been times when something about my DAW wasn't intuitive for me or I didn't fully understand certain features, so I would get stuck in a beat and not have a built in work flow to get me thru it because I didn't really have an approach to making the beat and/or using the software.

YouTube tutorials can help showing an approach you never though of, and instruction manuals help too. The best way to get thru beat block is to power thru it tho. Having a process to fall back on helps push thru.
