Your problem is, you think a signing is only worth it along basketball terms where one player can change the outcome of a team record. That's why your point is intellectually dishonest in its make up. In football, no lone player changes anything on a 53 man team sport. Yet you use that flawed measure to say a signing makes no sense.

When Geno Smith and Rex Ryan are your QB and HC then yeah senseless CB signings are pretty meaningless.

No one is debating Rex's shortcomings, but the man has proven twice that if you give him a team that can contend he can win football games...
Idzik has done the opposite of that, he deliberately set Rex up for failure this season and IMO he should not be allowed to get away with that...
Idzik is more responsible for this mess of a team, so if Rex has to go so does Idzik...

No. You sign a DB and make changes elsewhere.
Again...you entire point is built off of bullshyt. No lone player changes an outcome in football outside of the qb position. So if a team sucks, you say don't sign a non qb because they don't provide "instant success." Make zero moves because that move doesn't provide "instant success."

You want Mangini as the GM? Because he's the one who built the two teams Rex had some success with. Its scary how poor Rex is...this is the most disorganized team I've ever seen and I sat through the Kotite years. Just so poorly coached...
