:rudy: No. It didn't. Using Dropbox to act as a hub to keep your mp3's and then listen to them is something you can do with a native mp3 player. You don't need Spotify to do that. On top of that, if you want to add any new songs to that offline library you have setup on your phone, you have to put your phone back on the same network and then sync again. The fact remains, Spotify does not have the feature to stream your own music over any network. YOU are nikka rigging the shyt to make it work and that's cool. But that's not what the discussion is about. And lets not even get on the fact that Dropbox is limited. Lets not talk about the fact that you can add gigs up on gigs of music to your own streaming library with Google at no extra cost. Lets not do that.
AGAIN FALSE. ONCE THE SONG HIS YOUR CLOUD ACCOUNT IT GOES TO YOUR SPOTIFY ACCOUNT RIGHT AWAY. THEN YOU CAN STREAM TO ANY DEVICE WITH SPOTIFY. I COULD GIVE YOU MY LOGIN/PASS AND YOU WOULD GET MY OFFLINE SONGS INSTANTLY.

Not from what I've read. Either way, that doesn't change the fact that you need another service to make this work. Spotify does not work that way out of the box. You have to jump through hoops to get it to work. Google play has an app that they built specifically to do what you are trying to rig Spotify to do with Dropbox. And then after all that is said and done you still don't have the same headroom the Google gives you. With enough time and effort and the right parts I could probably get a car to fly in some small way. That doesn't mean that I can go onto the some car forum and start claiming that the new Benz can fly because it can't. And that is what you're trying to do here.

So is Google play better than spotify, beats, and Xbox music?

I feel it is because of the feature I mentioned. Outside of that though, I feel like Spotify and Google Music is pretty much the same. It's all about what you prefer. I do like Spotify's desktop and mobile apps better. But those are just personal preferences. The feature to include your own music library, 20 gigs worth if I'm not mistaken, makes Google the most feature rich and the best bang for your buck. I can't speak on Beats because I haven't tried it.

On a side note, one cool feature about the Spotify and DJay integration. It will take the song that you are playing and find a similar song not just in your library but within Spotify. And that's not anything new because other apps do that. But it goes beyond that. It doesn't just find a similar song in the same genre, it also finds a song that matches BPM and Key so that as a DJ you can mix on the fly even if you aren't as familiar with the song list as you should be. The odd thing is though, I don't think Spotify does this in just the app itself. It only does it in the DJay app. But it's still pretty nice to have and fun to play with.

Oh and one other thing I forgot to mention is that as of a couple of months ago Google Music did not have an official app for iOS. I don't know if that has changed in the few months that I've been away from the GMusic service, but while I was using it on iOS I had to download a 3rd party app that cost me a couple of bucks. It's not a big deal but it's worth mentioning.

SEE THAT'S THE PROBLEM. YOU'RE TELLING ME HOW IT MIGHT BE. I JUST TOLD YOU HOW IT IS. MY ARGUMENT WITH YOU HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHICH SERVICE IS BETTER. I JUST CORRECTED ONE FALSE STATEMENT YOU MADE. INSTEAD OF SAYING OH AND KEEPING IT MOVING, YOU DECIDED TO "GOOGLE WARRIOR" THIS ARGUMENT AND REPEATED MORE FALSE INFO. I CORRECTED THAT. THEN YOU DEFLECTED WITH GOOGLE'S CAPABILITIES LIKE THAT WAS THE ARGUMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE. IT IS OKAY TO BE WRONG BREH.
