I feel you, but I don't want to just survive and exist, I want to live. Travel the world, experience new things, etc. That takes money. I feel like if you're able to do something you love and get paid for it, you're doing better than most. :yeshrug: The problem is getting that dream source of income.

benoit benjamin is considered one of the biggest "busts' in nba history
he was selected 3rd overall in the draft..
a 7 footer with hall of fame potential
but ultimately floated around and played for nine different nba teams over 15+ years
frequently overweight, lazy, and ineffective:flabbynsick:

one time his team was eliminated from the playoffs
everyone was crying while benjamin coolly put on his suit
teammate was like "we were soooo close":damn:
benjamin- "you've got to be more casual about these things..":youngsabo:
then he dipped from the locker room and went out to party by himself
that's the epitome of "detached"

:lupe:personally i prefer to invest myself in the outcome of certain challenges
it opens up a wide range of life experiences
i learn more from my failures and setbacks
not that i want a brutal string of L's
but only taking W's means you were lightly matched
which is honestly about the same as not keeping score
or only simulating life from a keyboard

Threads like this should help people understand how fragile life is. We don't know what experiences that @DrX has experienced and if we'd still be who we are if we lived his life.

Before you criticize OP, understand that life isn't be fair and to be thankful that you didn't have the same dehumanizing experiences to come to the same conclusion.

Also the harder your life is, the more extreme your beliefs have to be to survive. Once you realize how much the odds are against you, it takes superhuman work to just be in the same place a normal person was born in.
