They have but from what I've read Dems have grossly miscalculated when it comes to messaging. The Dems have totally mismanaged the accusations aimed at socialism what it is and what it isn't (namely communism). That plays a large part in 1st and 2nd generation Latin X voters outlook on the party particularly when they come from failed socialist and/or communist countries. They have not factored in the religious aspects particularly around abortion and the plethora of disinformation on that topic. Most important they haven't really tackled whiteness and the idea of whiteness as more than just skin color.

Whiteness in this country is normalcy, access, opportunity etc. and anyone that comes here is trying to access it (the American Dream if you will). We've become dogmatic in the idea that whiteness is exclusive to those who have the right complexion or European lineage when it's much more nuanced than that.
