Or it would've made people actually shop there instead of everywhere else. They needed something, ANYTHING, to get people in their stores to spend money
Idk why these companies act like they're the only ones selling xyz. The market is wide open, people are going to spend where they want. If retailers want to be rigid, good luck lol
They were selling XYZ and people shopped online and ended up buying QRS. For example if you wanted measuring cups, you go into BBY and they have OXO stainless steel measuring cups for 22 bucks, same price as Amazon, Target, etc.... People then go to Amazon and find some cheap weird brand from China thats only 10 bucks and buy that then complain that BBY was too expensive. No, the measuring cups werent too expensive, folks decided to buy some knockoff junk from China instead.
We are definitely in a race to the bottom where the only products that will exist are really high end products regular folks wont see and super cheap crap from China people are buying online. People are taking the easy way out and just blaming the store when the real issue is the US consumer based economy is increasingly propped up on very cheap goods from China. Folks just want the cheapest thing they can get.
