I own and like albums from J. Cole, A$ap crew, and Joel Ortiz though. I like The Game too.
Prefer not to fukk with Rick Ross, Drake, or Kendrick Lamar, not feeling them what I heard. A lot of my friends big up Young Buck and Jeezy but I never heard their albums. Don't think I'll like it.
My all time favorites are Big Pun, Jay-Z, Nas, LL Cool J, Canibus, The Fugees, DMX, Cam'ron, Onyx, Tupac (only when it's positive and he sounds stable), Ice Cube, DJ Quick. My era is 94-2000. Born in 85.
I'm mostly a R and B and Metal fan though (little bit of Hardcore here and there). Rap has to be great lyrically with hot beats for me too like. Thinking maybe Kanye, Kid Cudi, and Wale would be interesting based on things i read on net. Out of loop, asking for suggestions.
/threadPick up the Documentary 2 and that's it.
Freddie Gibs, Big KRIT, Vince Staples and Lil Herb is really all you need.
Herb isn't no Nas but he brings that emotion
Vince is one of the best younger dudes doin it, he's like a more "street" Kendrick without the terrible voice and better music and his latest album (summertime 06) reminds me of Hell Hath No Fury
