Nightlife isn't crazy but it's there. Durham is more of a bar scene, Raleigh has Glenwood South and downtown. If you really get bored, take a weekend trip, but that can go for anywhere. There's tons of great places to eat, especially in Durham. Low key, the Mexican food
Because of the colleges and all the jobs you'll run into people from all over. I think it's be a better place to live if you're already settled down or got G but even if you're single you can still make it work.
