The ratings have been sliding since 2001. 2002-2006 featured HHH's Back To The Midcard World Tour, killing off loads of guys or stymieing them in general, making fans tune out in droves. HHH - Kilq member - flipped the switch for the dismal ratings that have been going on for years. What the fukk are you even talking about?
this argument that make it seems like the ratings all of a sudden just came to this is hilarious

Once again using dumbass logic. About 99% of wrestling fans in 2016 are IWC members, including yourself. Ya know, the people that buy the shirts, buy the tickets, buy the Network etc. By the way, being a IWC member doesn't mean being a Indie loving, workrate obsessed fan. Time to kill that logic.

That idiot doesn't use logic though. :pachaha:

It doesn't always have to be about size. Mysterio was small but you believed he could beat anyone because a) he looked like a superhero and b) he was AMAZING in the ring.

But the world champ shouldn't be some regular dude named Finn. I mean if he appeared live on good morning america you might think some of the male hosts could take him down.

Stat Boy give him that work :russ:

Right? Lol. The ratings went up for a bit for the WWF once WCW bought out, but it was that in that same very year the ratings began to decline. I can easily look it up when I get back, but one of the worst Raw in awhile at that time was during a Kane feud. Wanna know who else was involved? HHH. The ratings weren't in the 6s and 7s and suddenly hits 3s. It was gradual, and HHH was a major reason for that.

Raw ratings during 2016 were a lot higher with Triple GOAT as champion than when Reigns or Ambrose were champ :sas1:

He almost never even showed up on the show and Road to Wrestlemania ratings always are the highest ones for the year. But nice try. :comeon:

WWE might just need to face the fact they took a major L running CM Punk out of the company. Him and DB are the larger than life characters we been wanting. They were so up there that WWE was incapable of doing start/stop pushes for them.

What is more entertaining, Zayn/Owens for 20 minutes just spamming big spots, near falls and no selling; or Austin attacking Vince in hospital, fighting Booker T in a supermarket? The beer truck, the cement truck?5

I hated all of that shyt. I hated Austin for the most part and didn't even know he was a good worker untiI years later. Attitude Era was only good because of Ladder Matches, Cruiserweights, and ECW. The rest I was willing to commit to because it was popular and new. But NWO and Mchmahon/Austin was tedious to me. Glad it imploded. The Rock was a much better character than Austin.

Call it entertainment all you want, it's still based on athletes who wrestle, so well timed wrestling matches are essential for a good show.

I do believe they need more surprise endings though, but they did that past two weeks.

But internet "fans" are turning casuals away and ruining the product. Just saying ...
Explain.....

If i fell into wrestling and wanted to know or see more, I wouldn't be comfortable on Message boards or chat rooms where everyone is hating or criticizing product.

I went to a live Raw during Mania season in NYC, and it was an amazing Raw, and the crowd shytted on a lot of it. They almost ruined my fun until i ignored them.

It's not necessarily the fans (current popular blame), or the booking (the blame a year ago); it's a combo of everyone involved having a negative perspective and people getting injured so much. The product evolved, and now is ready to shine again.
