It's crazy how little of your brain you actually need as a human. 
Just wait until you see the hemispherectomy patients. It will blow your mind (pun intended). These folks are literally walking around with 50% of their brains and still carrying on in life with families, careers, houses, social lives, etc like normal people.

And these are just the ones that didn't kill the poor person outright or reduced them to literally zombies with their eyeballs dripping brain batter out of their sockets.
