Most small town/middle sized city cops never witness crimes of brutality and if something really fukked up happens they call in the state police.

I'd say being a big city cop is a lot more dangerous but even then there are streets/parts of town that they do not venture into or give a fukk about especially in places like Chicago.

I respect the hell out of firefighters though.

2 female cops just got murdered this week in the UK...dude called the cops out for a fake burglary then shot them dead and bombed them with a hand grenade....he was on the run for two murders ....shot a dude dead in a pub then a few months later threw a hand grenade into the fathers house of the guy he murdered and killed him too.....smh

after he killed the two police women he walked into a police station and gave himself up

For 2011, 173 line of duty deaths. 67 by gunfire. 12 vehicular assaults.
For 2010, 171 line of duty deaths. 59 by gunfire. 13 vehicular assaults.

Compare that to any other job that is not military, no other job gets more employees killed by gunfire while on the job other than police.

Oh yes, I was living out there when that happened...in my hood, bullets were literally zipping past your head like flies. LAPD got a run for their money that 1-2 weeks...I'm surprised my father survived (he was LAPD at the time)...

Do you understand most people who are murdered end up that way because of lifestyle, while cops get murdered because its a part of the job. Same thing with military members. What other jobs does having a bad day equate with being killed? Sit your young dumb ass down and do your homework.

As a cop you are going into situations where many many people WOULD kill you if the consequence wasn't THEIR execution. Your existance in many many calls is quite literally life or death for that reason. LOL @ kicking in a door NOT being dangerous. LOL @ having to wear a vest 10 hours a day because the enemy wants to kill you because of your job not being dangerous.
