I've actually seriously considered joining the Air Force but the sexual assault shyt turns me off (it's not just the female soldiers).

Also Stargate was one of my favorite TV shows. Wouldn't mind traveling to alien worlds with SG-1 all while Jack O'Neill makes sarcastic comments and Teal'c keeps saying 'indeed' every 5 minutes.

I was on the path to be a pilot. I wasn't sure if I wanted Air Force or Naval. I even went to an academy that had one of the only aviation programs tied in for that specific purpose. I got serious into football and went to college instead. I got a recreation pilot license once I was making great money after college and was working towards a private certification (a lot diff) but it wasn't the same. I wanted to fly jets. I lost my pilot currency when I got locked up but you once you get a license, it never expires. You just have to maintain your flight reviews. Mine is probably just suspended until I do my review and medical update.

Fighter pilot sounds cool until war jumps off, which is damn near always in America. Regular pilot is almost as cool & safer.
