Plus some n!ggas would give interviews strictly about trying to contain Kobe, lol.

Shane Battier would talk about staying the course and putting a hand close to his face in which he ultimately failed. Haha.

N!ggas was getting contracts, extension & roster spots just to keep Kobe under 40pts,lol. Who else in modern NBA times provided in such a real way to the game??!!....Dude will be missed.

Ruben Patterson
Raja Bell
Ron Artest
Andre iggy
Tony Allen
Bruce Bowen
Matt Barnes
Doug Christie
Shane Battier
Derek Anderson

Those guys were only interviewed as an excuse to talk about Kobe. It had nothing to do with those guys or the way they played defense. If Kobe would have granted their interview requests, they would have talked to him instead.

Every team in the west had a Kobe stopper when dude was in his prime. Its like they kept a dude in mothballs on the bench and rolled him out when the Lakers came to town.

Shout out to Trenton Hassell, Andre Kirelenko and Tayshuan Prince other Kobe stoppers.

Battier tried real hard to stop Kobe....hand in the face, lots of illegal handchecking...still couldn't stop him. When it came down to it, with the game on the line, there was Kobe draining a left hand side jumper with Battier's hand covering his face. Eventually Kobe figured out what shots Battier was giving him, and practiced those to the point that they became a simple function of muscle memory. He didn't even need to see the basket to make the shot. That's why analytics doesn't work on players like Kobe.

Bruh. Almost all those guys were well known before you goons started connecting them to Kobe Bryant.

For goodness sakes, Shane Battier was an NCAA champ and player of the year. Dude won almost every award you could win in college.

But Kobe made him famous?

You right about Prince. Him shutting down Kobe with his length for a couple games was his calling card.

I kept thinking prince was better than what he really was but he was a system guy that was a Kobe stopper....and once Kevin Durant got to the league he lost his spot as best lanky player

Bron let his stoppers in Jason Terry and Jason Kidd win....But Bron did get the best of Desahwn Stevenson and Lance Stevenson.

Outside of Tayshaun Prince Kobe has an impeccable record against stoppers. This may never be seen again.
