It's definitely not passive income like some people like to pretend
Depending on which state you operate in it can be extremely stressful, a lot of landlords are leaving my area because the local laws are so tenant/squatter friendly. People hate on landlords but you much prefer mom and pop landlords than corporations buying up all the inventory, so making it harder for ppl like me is ultimately a bad thing

The only type of people that have beef with landlords are the ones that do not believe in being accountable for their actions, tendencies and behaviors

I turned it off when he said he gave them a place to live when nobody else would

There's a reason why. Not blaming but that was a flaming red flag. I hope he recognizes that next time
It didn't register to him the reason is because she burned every single bridge. She played the victim card and he took it.

Lesson learned....an expensive one. He'll keep it business from now on.

And here comes Captain c00n being a mouthpiece for white ideologies like a ventriloquist dummy in both senses of the word.

Owning rental/commercial property is c00n behavior now? How many times did your mama tell you that you wasn’t going to be shyt when you were growing up? :pachaha:

TYRONE GA!
Are you a landlord?

Even having 5 units bringing in $7500/month sounds worth it.
sounds better than it is.

had a home and 3 multi family units. Got rid of em ALL.

the headaches and costs when shyt breaks down, plea coppin when they ain't got rent, general maintenance ain't worth it sometime.

the only plus side was the depreciation, but when you sell, it's time to pay the piper on that.

But like others said, REALLY vet who you rent to.

- stay away from family members/friends
- credit check
- employment check
- multiple months of deposit (At least 2x one month rent)

can't even rely on references since people will lie for someone.

Yeah if I end up getting rental property im only renting to college students, before the current administration went Winter Soldier, there were programs that would rent to college students from foreign countries that were getting postgraduate degrees, those would be safer depending on the country of origin and they still needed a background check.....I'll take a house full of these folks:sas2:

If you buy a house, how is that unearned income/privilege?
First of all, you didn't buy your house straight up. You took out a mortgage, selling your soul to a bank which also makes a living off of unearned income. And that's not even considering what you did to "earn" the money you bought the house with.

Second of all, how you buy the house doesn't matter for the question whether you worked for the rent you make another person pay. You didn't work for that rent and you don't provide anything of value in return. You're just extorting that person because they need a roof over their head and you don't want them to have one unless you gain more privilege in society first.

Third of all, look at how you're trying to play dumb about exploiting other people in society to enrich yourself. You've got no problem taking part in the exploitation but you cry bloody murder like a victim about being called out for it. That's that white people mentality and that, my breh, is what makes you a certified c00n©. They're proud of you.:salute:
