Did not know we had a Coli Comrade in here preaching about the evils of Capitalism and the plight of the proletariat vs the bourgeoisie. Stalin and the boys would be proud.First of all, you didn't buy your house straight up. You took out a mortgage, selling your soul to a bank which also makes a living off of unearned income. And that's not even considering what you did to "earn" the money you bought the house with.
Second of all, how you buy the house doesn't matter for the question whether you worked for the rent you make another person pay. You didn't work for that rent and you don't provide anything of value in return. You're just extorting that person because they need a roof over their head and you don't want them to have one unless you gain more privilege in society first.
Third of all, look at how you're trying to play dumb about exploiting other people in society to enrich yourself. You've got no problem taking part in the exploitation but you cry bloody murder like a victim about being called out for it. That's that white people mentality and that, my breh, is what makes you a certified c00n©. They're proud of you.

If he had 5 units, he’d still be just as mad as he is now. If he had 500, he wouldn’t even care all that much. That’s my point. Being a small landlord isn’t a bad thing, but the margins are often thin when you have a mortgage to pay every month. If you only have a couple of units, something like this can really set you back if you’re depending on that monthly rent to pay your mortgage

this is why I've never had any desire to be a landlord. too much BS to put up with. I'd rather invest in stocks/securities instead.

Exact reason I never wanted to get into this. I rented my crib to my nephew some years back, wasn't even trying to make a profit. Ninja had food and some other brown shyt that to this day, I have no idea how it ended up on the ceiling.

If you own the properties you are renting outright (aka no mortgage), then it's not nearly as bad and can be profitable.

Proper vetting on the front end saves you, most of the time…there’s always exceptions and outliers but being thorough in your your background checks and actually verifying previous landlords and work history can go a long way. I’ve received everything you can think of from fake check stubs, fake ID’s, fraudulent credit reports, people pretending to be jobs and landlords. Literally everything you can think of.
