There's at least 3 different left wingers being talked about in the this thread.
The leftist- the "commies", the ones who believe the final revolution is around the corner. The ones who want to destroy capitalism. They rarely ever profit much from being far that far left because they usually are on a lists. Some eventually leave the country if they get to popular, other tone it down....like early Hasan Piker. He realized quick you can't go full lefty and make money in America without making your supporters and opponents angry. Saying shyt like " America deserved 9/11" will never sell well, no matter how correct you are.
The democrats- establishment democrat who will bend any way to maintain the status quo. Most of them believe the 90s are pinnacle liberal democracy. Any "radical" progressive changes they put forth is just their attempt to run us to the 90s. Back when America didn't actively oppresses minorities, just passively. Pro-capitalism, pro-world police, lib hawks.
The libs- the reactionary sjws who believe focusing on issues that affect less than 5% of the nation is not only a winning strategy, its the only strategy worth fighting for. To their credit, the libs are great a organizing and being loud...which is why the dems like to hid behind the libs. When the right "owns the libs" its these folks. The democrats can't be "owned" because they willingly bend over for the GOP or claim to be seeking bipartisanship.
Other of these groups, the libs have the best opportunity to make money. The lefties looking to vent will flock to the loudest on the left wing, looking to vent and the ringer wing run their numbers up looking to troll. Meanwhile, the dems will spend these next 4 years slowly making themselves right wing to appeal to the right. See TYT. The far leftist will most likely start being jailed for either bs reasons or because they radicalized themselves into attempting something stupid.....I doubt it though. Right wingers are the ones who are usually about that life.
