Thats the problem the Jordan era keeps trying to change history ....sure Jordan was the best but damn when he put up 40 points and the bulls put up 100 how did the rest of the points get there??? Im telling you in 20 years those bulls team outside of Jordan will be nobodys. Magaic had no help and Bird won all those mvp's with a ok power forward and a old center.
I would never say Pip > MJ but its worth noting that Jordan never won a title without Pippen and Pippen was a damn near MVP and nearly took those 94 Bulls to the ECF and was ASG MVP that season....I say all the time Pippen was actually a batman relegated to Robin because he happened to play with MJ...
HE was a 1 on any other team in the league and had he been anywhere else Bulls wouldnt have 6 titles,go back and watch the games....he was |JUST as important to those Bulls teams...

He was more 2 or 1b during the runs in 87-87. Especially 88, where he took Rodman, Dantley, Salley, and anybody the Pistons had to school.
I seen Mchale mentioned as well, and I believe he gets his fair amount of props. I will add that the Bird-Nique didnt get going until the 4th, where Larry had like 20. Mchale had the more consistent game. Probaly cant stand Larry
