Your client pool is definitely key. There's a reason you don't see any BMW dealerships in low income areas. You gotta be a salesman too tho. Selling is 90% of the battle.idk about that. a few of the homies are personal trainers and they don't make much because keeping clients is hard. now they work at 24 hours fitness so maybe that's why but it just seems like a struggle unless you're at a private gym in a middle to upper class neighborhood where ppl are willing to pay for one.
Whats the process of becoming one? I work out alot but i feel like I needa get to atleast 10-12% bodyfat im at 15 rn. Quit drinking still smokin gas but i was in the military so I know some training programs to get people started.
This shyt has inspired me as well![]()
Man I've been wanting to get a cert since 2010 when I first started lifting. You want to get one of the big 3-4 PT certs.
- ACE
- NASM
- ACSM
- NSCA
You're right about starting off at a gym, building your client list/experience then branching off and doing your own thing. That's where the real money and freedom is at.

I've heard as bad as personal trainers making 10 dollars an hour if they calculate how much their check would be if they worked for an hourly wage.

I ain't never wanted to be a personal trainer in my life but seeing some of these vids and posts got me feeling like, "I could do it"
