Unless you AT LEAST blow up in a big market to get a couple thousand a show and some hoes there's not a single positive I can think of that comes out of being a rapper. :manny:

They have the shortest time to be hot than artists in any other genre.

And once they're time is up the next gen will throw dirt on their name, that shyt really don't happen in other genres. I mean, when was the last time you heard somebody try to shyt on Jimi? :yeshrug:

Charmillionare gave the blueprint for not doing rap the dumb way. Make rap one of several hustles, if it blows it blows if not your options are diversified. If you get a hit aight cool, don't parlay a hit into a long term slave deal. that will force you to basically commit to rap to pay off advance debt or 360 terms. Instead cake your lil 500k or whatever it is and flip it into your next move. Rap is littered with artists who had 1 or 2 aight songs and nothing else after that. and those are the dudes who "made it" since we know about them. probably another million bum ass local MCs who never amounted to shyt.

A lotta rappers have a side hustle

That side hustle just so happens to usually be selling drugs :manny:

Am I wrong? :yeshrug:

There are so many negatives that come with it that the little ass chance you'll gain anything positive out of it doesn't seem worth it.
Pretend to act like there's no positives all you want. There's plenty of poppin rappers out right now that make thou sounds a show, and with the internet it's easier and easier to get ya music out there. Also, rap keeps getting more popular each year.:martin:

As far as the positives go: Money, bytches, adoring fans:jbhmm:

Sounds good to me:pachaha:

fukk outta here with ya militant shyt:camby:
