Im like most of you, I grew up on the golden era of rap. I'm a New Yorker, I would shun trap for not having enough metaphors and multi's. My top 5 in no order was once the cliche Pac, Big, Nas, Jay, and Rakim. Then it dawned on me, outside of Jay I didn't even enjoy listening to these rappers.
They are good lyrically, but they weren't even fun to listen to.
After years of not even giving trap and hood shyt a chance and throwing it in the bushes one day in 2006 I heard the chicken talk by Guwop and ever since then rap is fun.
