i think he's referring to the level and bravado you get of black females once they get that degree. They believe it cancels out other negative factors. Which is not the case.

I think there is some truth to this, but I've also seen people assume you have bravado once they find out what your degrees are. It's like the entire tone of conversation changes just because they find out you're educated. It got to the point that I stopped telling people I had certain degrees because I didn't like the stereotypes they had about people who were educated.

let me play my fox news "fair and balanced" card.

This does happen often with sistas(perhaps women period but i wouldnt know, i have never dated out).

But it also happens with men(in general).
you say black educated women think they ish dont stink.
so do black educated men, as well as black men with money.

we could take the black off and say thats society in a nutshell. people do what they are really good at and make themselves into quote unquote Successful people(financially speaking and or what types of degrees you have.) But usually both groups, men and women are lacking in other areas. Those are the areas they are good at. This doesnt change the fact that these men and women need major work in other areas in their lives.

give me an uneducated half cute chick working the fryer at del taco, that has some INTELLIGENCE and can hold an intellectual conversation if need be, while also being just a nice giving person thats willing to share and compromise for the greater good. You can keep your accolades and $$$. The economy could bust again, you could lose your job.shoot your entire industry could go belly up. Then all of your paperwork and or money will no longer exist. NOW WHAT? What do you bring to the table aside from those outside things? if the answer is NOTHING. then thats a sign you have a lot of work to do on yourself. and that mentality should also be the same for women. but its difficult for that to be the case. since women by nature desire to be taken care of(only by nurture of society do you have so many women acting as if "i can take care of myself. i dont want or need anyone taking care of me."

you have to have a career to be considered an ideal mate by any female worth getting involved with. Yeah, I though there'd be a pot of gold waiting for me after I graduated with accounting degree but there isn't. Job hunting is a bytch and I have been depressed lately. However, I know once I finally get a real job and get shyt on track I'll be fine.

There is a difference between getting a degree and actually being educated....

50-70% that go to College/ University are just going through the motions. If you actually commit yourself to what your studying literally nothing can hold you back

Interesting thread. My take is a person should at minimum learn at least one thing very well. Take for example 50 cent dissing Mayweather about not being able to read. Has Mayweather's inability to read made him any less of a fighter? What 50 is doing is trying to bring Mayweather back into the realm of the typical 9-5 worker who must be able to read to work a desk job. Mayweather is not operating on the same standards as the common person.

As far as evil people in the world, I agree there are some in the high positions of power. However, as I start to see how more and more things go down, I put some of the blame on the general public. Some of my former co-workers used to admit to me they needed a supervisor that would yell at them or basically threaten them to perform. It's like people are only motivated by fear. If that is the case for a good chunk of the population, of course you are going to have people in power that are a$$holes. On top of that, these "power players" ego's go through the roof the more people they are able to walk over.

It's important to surround yourself with people that have a positive vibe and are doing things. That energy is contagious and being around it can only help you. If you choose the other route, you will constantly be around others that want to tear you down. This could be your "best friend", significant other, etc. You have to be very careful who you let around you and constantly evaluate what is the purpose of this person being in my life. What do they add?

It just means you're educated

I see too many people conform to society's rules on becoming a successful person

But when everything doesn't go as planned and they realize it's all bullshyt, they can't handle it

Some even commit suicide or become serial killers

It's like they were hoping some big pot of gold was waiting for them once they GRADUATED

Nobody is perfect so stop being picky

You don't have to be educated to be considered an ideal mate either

:skip:.. thats specific.. and extreme :mjlol:
