I was attracted to females before I even knew what attraction was. As early as age 3 or 4 when I was in daycare. I never made that conscious decision. I also knew a 3 year old that you could tell was going to be gay. He's a bit older now but more feminine that his sister. I don't believe it's as cut and dry as saying someone simply decided what they were going to be attracted to.
