i;ve heard good stories regarding poaching. and my sister who is a lawyer landed a job through linkedin for the most part. she called the Ontario Power Authority, and Tim Hortons Inc. HR people listed on linkedin, made an inquiry sounding all enthusiastic saying how she's very intrigued. Yadda yadda...she had offers on deck after the interviews.
