This is why single sports like tennis, golf, formula 1 (to an axtent) is the GOAT from an athete's perspective. No teammate to overshadow you. you get all the credit or blame for winning or losing.

I would hate to burst my ass everyday in the gym and on the court only for my teamate to get all the glory. fukk that. Kyrie had one of the GOAT finals performace in 2016 and made the title clinching shot but guess who get's damn near all the glory and boast to their legacy. lebron. The only thing Robert hurry's cluthness in the playoffs did was boast the legacy of players like Shaq,Kobe, Duncan et al.
Kyrie DOES get mad props for it, it’s just overshadowed but what Bron did. Bron had the greatest/one of greatest finals of all time literally sonning every player on BOTH teams leading in every major statistical category. Kyrie did great scoring 41 (back to back?) and was a major part. It’s just hard when the man does what you are best at better than you and does the playmaking/crucial defensive plays. Everyone with common sense knows they needed each other, but brons going a lot further w/o Kyrie than vis Versa. Also while Kyrie did hit that vital shot Bron Bron still ended up hitting free throws at the end.

The best one at talking up a teammate ever was Kyle Korver. In Cleveland he would get interviewed any time he hit a few big threes. They would always ask about lebron cause he was having amazing nights every night and Kyle kept coming up with new ways to lavish praise on Bron like a regular journalist.

Was entertaining

I remember I went 1 for 16 in a basketball game in high school and all the interviewer wanted to ask me was about the injured player I replaced in the starting lineup.

I was like "Look here, we only lost by 4 points with me being the focal point of the team. The offense can definitely run thru me. My teammates just need to step up:ufdup:"
