Saw a statistic once that said most people read your text within 90 seconds, that was in 2016 or so

but, I see girls phones sometimes, who have 47 missed calls, and let's just say like 33 messages they haven't read, like the literal red alerts.

and that is just the message/call. No mention of everything else.
Yea. Girls have 5-10 people they’ll actually engage with in their phone and that’s between ALL the apps (text, insta, snap, TikTok, etc.,)

I remember sitting next to this girl in college. She was showing me something on her phone before class and this chick had 100 unread texts no lie :damn:. Home Screen lit up read like a New York Christmas of unread notifications. I asked why she had so many unread messages she literally giggled and said “They’re not important:yeshrug:

I was :dwillhuh: so why you got their number then

This gone sound like I’m in my feelings but that’s why if I don’t hear back from a girl I’m feeling in 4 hours after I text I bush.

Don’t be fooled these hoes ain’t busy. You not important enough to respond to and they don’t give af.

:pachaha:

you’re looking at a ‘read’ notification and fretting over the lack of a response. stop overthinking it.
No one is fretting over anything. Yall always project. It's disrespectful to leave someone on read. There's no overthinking this fact

Worst part is when I seen the few who did this in person, they juelz. So I cut them off. No one is tripping. It's just a problem that won't be solved because dumb men and women get smartphones everyday. Kids these days no later than age 5

It's a societal issue. And it's disgraceful on all fronts

I already know this is really regarding women specifically doing this :mjlol:

The problem with y’all is that y’all are too SCARED and PASSIVE to communicate this right at the start to the women out of fear of losing coochie.

Listen man, its symptomatic of the world we live in but let me suggest a different way of looking at it which is far less stress and much more advantageous:

You know exactly where you stand in the grand scheme of things when it comes to another person. Enjoy it. Reciprocate and move accordingly.

Humanity has never, ever had this level of honesty and transparency before. Tech just helped reveal the real so celebrate and keep it moving because the ones who do think a lot of you will make it evident due to their attention and how they gift it.

Make better choices, investments, call it what you wish. Adapt, improvise, overcome or get on your mid 90s R&B flex instead:

"I'm writing you a four page threader.... because yo ass left me on read" :lolbron:

I leave people on read a lot of times. Usually it's because I'm multi-tasking 3-4 different things, glanced at my phone read the message and went and did something else and forgot to look at my phone again. The fact that people can see that you've read their messages is a demonic feature.

That you can turn off :manny:

One of my old coworkers who I called my little bro did this. I gave this nikka work and life advice. Just out of love and wanting to see him do great at the job

I saw him at work the next day. He told me "man I wasn't sure how to respond"

You don't know how to respond to a yes or no question about taking concert tickets I'm giving away? For free?

Blue ticks in Whatsapp..used to piss me off, not anymore because it lets me know what Im dealing with.

Made sure to remove my last seen and online status like all the other shady people out there.
This is another problem. Low character people breed maladaptive behaviors in others by ignoring texts. It's a toxic cycle

Imma always be genuine no matter what but I don't blame you

You’re in the minority. I assume once you remember or get time you respond.

I was just talking with my homegirl who does this specifically on a power trip. To let people know yes I saw it & no I’m not responding :russ:

OP you good tho breh

Sound like that double text you sent got left on read :mjcry:
I don't send double texts to anyone but my homeboy these days. He's going through it so I understand. And he eventually reaches back out

I just tend to think about shyt like this sometimes. A thought sparks a thread idea. It's way deeper than an ignored text

It's like we're losing qualities that make us human. Social skills in a broad sense are probably the lowest they've ever been. I'll leave you with a quote from one of the GOATs

"Now I feel the Internet has ruined the human race
Even though, you know, we can fly, and cars and technology has gotten better
I feel the the human race is not progressed as much as we should be
How come the human race isn't progressing as fast as technology has
Yeah, we're gonna be staying on the moon
But there's still gonna be racists
So, in the end, are we really winning?"

Goddamn technology runs yall

The read feature is the equivalent to me of somebody peeking through your window to see if you're home talking about "I rang... Why you ain't answer? :dahell: "

Crazy how phones made it acceptable to expect folks gotta be available to you at all times.

I always take my sweet time answering or not and I'm glad my social circle doesn't make a mountain out of it. Just a few weeks ago I responded back to a shorty I didn't answer to for a month, she said "don't even worry about it, folks are TOO connected today"

I was like :obama: she gets it
