I think it's time to retire the word problack. If you get behind a movement just because it's black and follow those ideologies you will end up confused you got

The moors, the hebrews, hotel/back to africa crowd, you got the crowd that follow the ancestors, you got the different black Christian crowd, you got the fba, the black Indian crowd, all these different groups pushing ideologies if you support it under the banner of being problack you will be confused. You can't follow all these different agendas.

Even during civil rights you had like different groups under the banner of problack.

Only if you’re an idiot with poor discernment.

Being “pro-black” is simple, yet in recent times, I’ve noticed people trying to attach a negative connotation to the term and/or overcomplicating it and presenting it as if it’s some sort of “labor of Hercules” or something

To me, being pro-black just means that you are for black people, and that within your means - when and if possible - you’ll support black folks (that merit said support), black institutions, businesses and movements for the betterment of black people. That doesn’t meant you have to support any and everything or everyone just because they’re black.

Basically, being Pro-Black just means supporting other Black people whenever reasonably possible and having a Black people first mentality. You don't have to believe any type of ideology besides that.

I can agree with that. I'm old coming up in the late 80s/early 90s we made it a point t to support anyone who was Black any type of way. All this FBA vs Africans and Caribbean etc. is not cool and the opposite of that. I cannot get with it.

Those guys are deep ideological guys about something religious. It's more esoteric and specific than you know the way avg. Black people relate to one another. Heavily steeped in religion that most Black people don't know or care about.

Do you know the real reason Black Wall Street in Tulsa and other black towns were destroyed around that time? Because black people were thriving while they were going through a depression. We had the Harlem Renaissance while whites were going through tough times. So what have we learned? Anything that's a threat to us rising economically we will be met with great opposition. These groups freely pushing ideologies freely because the real threat is in the $$$.

I think all these groups is in place to bring discord and prevent us from coming together under one banner.

This is a different argumentation than the one posited in your initial and subsequent post, but I somewhat agree with this addendum.

There are historical records and reports of/on how often government agencies would start, fund and support splinter orgs/movements to sow discord among black people. Hell, anecdotally, I've just - in passing - come across a report highlighting the links between Zeus Network and Israel (and we know the sort of programming and messaging on offer on Zeus Network).

I think the likelihood of black folk in general uniting under a single banner is slim to none. Logistically it's not even feasible, and there are too many different experiences, cultural artifacts as well as bad actors for that to happen. However; it doesn't have nor does it need to be open hostility. I'm for black people, and whenever possible - again, if merited - they'll have my support. Similarly, if someone's a c00n (for lack of better term) and/or preaching hatred, suspicion, dislike of other black folks, or propagating stereotypes - I simply just won't follow those preachings/movements. The beautiful thing about being a fully functional adult is that you should have developed the skills and discernment to identity medicine from poison.
