Tired of the looks

Tired of professors not giving me the same decency

Tired of seeing that 79 in circuits on my transcript when he bumped others grades

The asians and Indians do a really good job of looking out for each other I noticed

The TFs or whatever y'all call them if they're Asian will always go to the Asian kid first if they raise their hands I realized in my CS class

We need more brehs so we can look out for each other

I got a crew of applied math/mechanical engineering brehs who I take some stem stuff with tho

its the opposite for me in my computer science classes. Cacs are the minority , its mostly latinos and asians, with a few indian and black people.

Luckily I decided to go to an HBCU to get my undergrad degree. We all looked out for each other. Before that I was like an island.

So few black people in STEM...starter stem classes bio, chem, calc 1 sure but when u get into more complex courses it's like dots on white paper

I had to make friends/network with everyone to really Excel because u realize u can't do it all on your own. Breakdown like this

Whites: Very tight/exclusive if legacy aka parents or family member already work in the industry so there's a job waiting, getting internship is much easy for em. Usually got the hook up or was exposed to studies early on. But will act as though they have no advantage.

Asians: Super connected. They know people who already took the course and will give share/share game by any means necessary. FOBs were rampant with the cheating. Was in a team: one took pics of lecture and had fam overseas to send old exams and notes, another recorded and shared real-time notes on Google drive. I knew the TA's and downloaded all the textbooks needed and shared. Another did all the legwork like hw, scanning texts, professor meetups etc. It was beautiful.

Indians: Very hardworking, humble, will help if need be. Usually willing to do all nighters. Very little social life if any.

Only thing that pained was when the few blacks around would act exclusive with their stuff like oh I don't want it to look like our hw is plagiarised or try to act aloof. Then when it gets real, it's oh hey Spectre u gonna study for that exam later?

I'm like we have so much to learn
