To me, 40s is the best age. You're right between young and old, and you have ten years to get it correct. The pressure is tremendous, the odds are visibly insurmountable, you often hate the path you've chosen and want to take a detour before you're 50 and careening into your 60s with nothing to show for it. Once I hit 40 in a couple years, I'm going to make sure that is my real prime.
