Agree, and I hate when cats try the "You just don't understand it angle." I'm like why do I get literally every good black gangsta movie like Boyz n the Hood, Menace, New Jack City, Hoodlum etc but not this...

It’s a fair assessment. I watched it recently and the cinematography is what makes it rewatchable.

Maybe too much Jamaican influence. But for a low budget movie with 2 rappers that weren’t actors, it’s still a timeless movie.
