Just my opinion, but this dude is a slave to Hollywood fame. I believe this is his 3rd attempt at saving his career. He is going through, what i've coined, "the ultimate book of hollywood career resuscitation" :

- Then after that, along with films like Daredevil and Gigli, he made the ultimate sacrifice, quickly marrying the sweet jennifer garner (also attempting to save her career after cheating on her husband, scott foster, and Alias' run ending on ABC) and having multiple children (chapter 12 - the tame "we understand each other" hollywood happy family)

- And now, after hitting rock bottom with Batman vs. Superman and the Simon & Garfunkel "Helly Darkness My Old Friend" video on YouTube...along with "Live By Night", he's going to one of the final chapters and oldest tricks in the book (chapter 18 - american pity)
