If he hasn't looked into it and was uncertain about an answer, he should have been smart enough to either look into it before hand or say that his opinion is inconclusive or some shyt, and if he has looked into it and still came to that conclusion, then he's a potato, plain and simple.
Also, I have no idea why people put so much emphasis on Iowa. I remember in 2008 Huckabee was leading in Iowa at this time, and in 2012 it was Michelle Bachman and Rick Sanctorum...and they were leading by LARGE margins, just like Carsons and Trump currently are.

The reality is that Carson is the product of the liberal welfare state. Without it, he would not be where he is. He grew up on public assistance. His mother could not make ends meet. Here is why The War on Drug will NEVER work...An opinion supported with an analogy of Human Physiology...
1) Basic Cardiovascular Physiology...You have a heart (Cartel) the central pump of blood (drugs) to your body (fiends)...The Heart pumps blood (drugs) to big arteries (higher leaders) who send it to median arteries, arteries and capillaries (the smallest arteries/foot soldiers) who take the blood (drugs) straight to the body (fiends)...
2) Now...If the USA really wanted to stop or SEVERELY cripple drug dealing, they will block the Heart (Cartel/Source) resulting in a heart attack and possible death or severe paralysis...The USA found Osama, Qaddafi, Saddam Hussein, if they wanted to find some Cartel Leader, it would be a walk in the park for American Black Ops...
But they don't...Clear indication that they are NOT serious about The War on Drugs...
What does the USA (and most anti-drug Countries) do, they attack the capillaries (foot soldiers), but there are so many of them and they heal relative fast, and carry so little blood (drugs) it is almost an insignificant cause of a heart attack (stopping the source)...
As long as the Heart keeps pumping and the Big Arteries are intact, the capillaries will regenerate and continue distribution of blood (drugs)...
3) What is the best way to cause a Heart Attack (kill the Cartels)...Block the Arteries that supply the Heart i.e. stop the people who fund Cartels...Another way, block the Big Arteries (Upper Management) that emerge directly from the Heart (Cartel)...If the Big Arteries can't supply the Capillaries (foot soldiers), then the cost of production will by far exceed the profits of consumption, and the system will COLLAPSE...A product that can't be distributed is essentially useless...
4) The solution is so EASY, and with trillions of dollars and other resources, it doesn't make sense for the USA to SHUT DOWN a crippling of fetal amount of drugs that cross its borders...
The only logical explanation is that, "The War on Drugs" is just token political sound bite with NO real intentions behind it...
If the USA sends Navy Seal Team 6 into the biggest drugs producing countries, in a matter of hours, the price of cocaine and heroin will inflate to prices that make no economical sense...Real things will be forced to seek household chemicals and such...
Non-fiends just won't bother and stick to alcohol and prescription drugs...

However, it's all part of a narrative where the candidate who wins New Hampshire and later the Super Tuesday states captures "momentum." We could just as easily start the primaries with the states that matter like OH & FL, but that would kind of defeat the purpose of modern day election season.
