Yea not going indict a young player off of ONE playoff series against one of the best defensive and well coached teams in the league
Reality is dude shot 70% at the rim, avg 8 assists, was 1st in blocks, 3rd in steals , and the TOP defensive rated PG in the league over the regular season
We saw what he can do without embiid in top of all that during the winning streak

So he got ~12fga in the paint per game? 
For someone who defenses are doing everything they can to stop at the rim and whose lack of jumpers is letting them sag off to prevent him from getting to the rim and lets them know everything he plans to do, that's actually impressive in many ways
He can get looks in the paint and shots at the rim literally anytime he wants to WITHOUT a jumper against the #1 defense in the NBA that was schemed to stop him. Now he needs to start converting those looks, and as he improves at the FT line he'll be able to go in there with more confidence and attack contact rather than dodge it.
Once he develops range on his shot, this really just shows how unstoppable he'll be. You sag off and you can't stop him from getting to his spot, now you actually have to play him all the way out there? With his combination of speed, strength, handling, vision, and size?

He passes the ball to everyone not just to Perimiter Shooters as that is the responsibility of a PG ...it’s really telling that posters are proudly admitting that they do not comprehend what a FrontCourt (interior) player is vs what a Backcourt (perimeter) player is ...but alas there is always NBA 2K for those individuals

The thing is Donovan is a serviceable facilitator/floor general. This past series was prob the first time he was asked to do so this year and he gave them 2 really good games and at least one poor game in that regard. In those 2 games, he also was one of his teams top scorers.
I feel like even though a lot of teams would take Ben, both are complementary pieces in this stage. Donovan has seemed to be able to play off his counterpart (Rubio) easier than Ben has been able to when it came to Embiid and him getting his post ups. This was an issue that arose earlier this year too. Donovan just seems easier to work around cause most teams don’t have the luxury of going 4 out shooters for damn near the entire game
