Tell that to Giannis :mjlol:
Within 3ft of the rim, Giannis has gone year by year from 57.3% --> 64.6% --> 68.4%, --> 70.9% --> 83.3%
LeBron was 60.4% within 3ft of the rim his rookie year, next year was 72.5% and is a career 73% now.

Ben Simmons is already 66.7% so far

Isolate those numbers to the half court and post the # of attempts at the rim.

IMMIGRANT TETHERS
so is this the thread where the BBB stans and LeThotties collaborate to shyt on clearly the best rookie this year

Even with a broken jumper I find Simmons game more easy on the eye than Lebrons.

And we already know who he's better than.

as for the Blake Griffin comparison, op is waaay off the mark

He shot 70 percent at the rim in college stop saying stuff that isn’t true.

Once again, isolate those numbers to the half court.

Nobody cares about Ben Simmons dunking on a fast break.

Anyone with eyeballs can see he struggles to finish so maybe you shouldn't speak on what you don't know.

All this drip on me
Man that's high school and college. You refine your game once in the pros ask Kobe LeBron and all those greats
Don't compare this non-finishing through contact ass nikka to players literally known for their ability to hang in the air, effortlessly adjust their shot and finish through contact.

When it comes to finishing ability - it's a natural skill you either have or you don't. There's a reason why players like Kyrie or Steph who aren't elite athletes at their position, are among the best guards at finishing in the paint and making acrobatic lay-ups after shifting a defense.

A lower percentage of Ben's shots came in transition than Giannis', but I'll let you keep on goin with that narrative :sas2:

Giannis take a larger volume of shots in general so percentage is meaningless. Giannis is only a year older and a much better finisher.

Giannis was drafted 2013 Ben in 2016, and Ben lost a year to injury. It's not the same

Ben takes 14 FGA. In addition to this year's Giannis, I compared to 2015-16 Giannis who Ben takes 1.3 more shots than and 2016-17 Giannis who only attempted 1.7 more FGAs. Ben is shooting essentially the same percentage Giannis did in 2015-16. Keep on runnin with that false narrative tho

I'm not saying Ben will ever be the finisher Giannis is, he doesn't have to be the same as modern Giannis at the rim to be a superstar in this league. That being said, Ben can certainly make big strides in this regard.

I don't care when they were drafted. I only care about their age.

If Ben keeps up current pace, he will still be a worse finisher than Giannis overall and in the half court.

And Giannis does so many things better than Ben, including drawing fouls around the rim, I'm not even sure why you bring him up?

Ben currently has a FTr of .4, just where Giannis was at in 2015-16. Consider also that rookies don't really get all the calls they should and that Ben is probably a bit hesitant to go the FT line since he's struggling from there as a shooter.

When they were drafted definitely matters my guy, time in the league is infinitely different from time in college and in HS and if you don't realize that you're just being a clown :mjlol:

I didn't say Ben will become as good of a finisher as Giannis :heh: I said that he clearly can make big strides and improve in this area
