KD's original recovery time was 6-8 weeks and he came back within that timeframe. He had to get another surgery on it a couple months later to fix discomfort, but that doesn't mean Simmons will have to.

It re-broke again. He felt discomfort and then they found out he broke it again.

Same thing with CJ3(IIRC), he should get the bone-graft surgery and get it over with. CJ and KD re-broke theirs' and then got the bone graft surgery and they've been healthy ever since.
