Durant is still being questioned for his assertiveness bc how he lets Westbrook steal the moment and Lebron was being questioned all the way up to his 2nd season in Miami.

and you obviously don't watch him play because no one in this draft is a better passer, has a higher IQ, or drives to the basketball better than him.

None of these players were being as micro-evaluated as Simmons. I can't even think of a player who has come close to people pinpointing every detail of their game as Simmons has. The closest player was probably Wiggins.

Those players were clear stars in the league when the first started, even Kobe when he was riding the bench

KG was putting up 10 and , Kobe was putting up 15 and 6, people thought Durant was overrated after his 1st year despite winning ROY, people were not wondering why Lebron defers at 19.

All these players got better from the time they were 19 yet Simmon has to be a finished product NOW.

He may have been overrated early in the season but I think most people re-calibrated their expectations after seeing him over the course of the season.
He can fill up a stat sheet and that should be good enough to justify a top 2 pick this year. You had people acting like Jabari was going be better than Carmelo by now so you just gotta ignore the dumb nikkas when it comes to these evaluations.
