The amount of income taxes these nikkas be paying in them states like Cali and New York (especially since he gotta play in new York 4 times a year, Cali like 4 times too) over all them years in the leauge that shyt add up quick. Although I don't think he like broke broke, but I wouldn't be surprised if what they really mean is he got less than like 15-20 mil left. Which can burn out fast if you a player that don't ever grow up.

I don't believe it, because if this dude is broke in 3 months without a NBA check, he got bigger issues than I imagined lol
I can believe it because some folks have a tendency to increase their living expenses with every salary increase… plus he’s young. He probably hasn’t ever had to budget

Man people don’t understand how that money can be spent quickly making dumb ass purchases and habits. For a small sample size max contact 30mil cut that to
18mil after taxes (depending on state)
Agent fees
Super car fees (multiple cars)
Oversized home fees
Oversized home tax fees
Groupie fees
Vacations fees
Bottle fees
You look up and that 18mil is now is below 5mil and now your non shooting ass out here about to brick the easiest shot you can make by just showing up.

This. After state and federal taxes that 30mil is probably like 18mil. You do the same with his rooking deals and hes probably bleeding cash right now. If hes living the luxury lifestyle people say hes living then i can definitely believe hes broke after all the fees.

why you in the thread then? You think anybody here actually cares about ben simmons finances more than his jumpshot? Its just a topic of discussion.

Talking about the posts that keep up with his purchases and say "I always wondered if he could have afforded...."

Yall saying the report is bulllshyt when dude still on a rookie deal. He signed the extension but didn't touch that money yet. He never wanted to be in Philly his goal was to sign that extension and request for a trade to a Cali team

Yeah it seems like he's been living a $30M/yr lifestyle since signing that max two years ago, but he's only actually gotten 1 full year of the max. He's earned $57M in total NBA salary and $20M from Nike. Maybe another $10-12M in miscellaneous endorsements. $80M total, probably $40-50M after taxes and agent. When you're buying $20M houses and $2M cars, money goes fast.

Yeah when you break it down, there could be some truth to it. He may not be broke like a Coli breh, but he may have to come off a few assets while his liquid cash is getting low
