Whatever deal is on the table now is going to be on the table in December or at the trade deadline. Morey clearly doesn't care about making things a circus, so there's no rush. Maybe someone panics.

Morey's two homeruns being guys who have denied wanting out every chance is gonna eventually cost him. I really liked the proposed Pacers deal but now that is off the market too

This a$$hole might actually get blackballed because there's no way a GM can go to his coach or locker room and float the idea of bringing in Ben Simmons. Another coach doesn't want to beg for him to shoot the ball. Another locker room doesn't want to cover for this bozo's diva tendencies and refusal to step up.
Indy wasn't going to make the playoffs with Simmons on the roster IMO as they would have sacrificed wing depth, so the first round pick more than likely would have been a high pick.
