Sacramento would have to give up Haliburton, which they've been reluctant to do so plus get other teams involved to meet Philly's asking price. Either way those teams are going to have to get other teams involved to meet Philly's demands.

I don't blame Philly for not necessarily wanting D Lo since Simmons at his worst is still a better player and asset than D Lo.
They’re not giving up Halliburton, at least not yet. How desperate are the Kings? Do they see this as a playoffs or bust sort of year?

Listen, I understand the D Lo slander. He don't play defense, he a snitch, yada yada yada.

With the defenders Philly has on that team to hide him and seeing the numbers D Lo has put up when he's asked to be the man...he might be better. :hubie:

I'm not convinced Simmons can do what D Lo did on the Nets. Shoot me. :manny:

They're 15 years without a playoff birth and it's been said that their owner, Ranadivé is desperate to make the playoffs. They were a few games out of the play-in tournament last season so I think that upgrading Simmons for Haliburton would get them there.

I'm sure Luke Walton wouldn't mind if it means saving his job in the process.

I'm convinced that Sacramento brass thinks Haliburton is better than Fox. I think Sacramento would have been willing to give up Fox for Simmons prior to today

Nahhhh I still think that they'd do it even spite of what's transpired today. It keeps Simmons happy in LA and it gets them one step closer to the playoffs, which they've been desperate to do. If they start out poorly to start the season, Philly should put in the call and ask again.

Teams just aren't high on D Lo like that and Philly isn't the only one, so I can't knock them for not wanting any part of him.
