The Bengals D not playing until the whistle didn't do them any favors this game either. It seemed like the defense thought L Jack and that wide receiver were just going to go out of bounds.

If there were ten seconds and no timeouts, I get it as there is a very small chance the Ravens would get a FG or a Hail Mary if they tried it. However, 35 seconds and two timeouts with a QB that can turn nothing into something is a lot of time.

The decision effectively took them from the dealing with the probability of their D actually stopping Lamar to dealing with the probability of their D actually stopping Lamar AND them converting the 2. An objectively terrible decision.

Also, you have to realize this isn't ten years ago or even last year with the kickoff rules. Teams aren't getting the ball at the 20 yard line or 25 yard line anymore. They are getting it at the 35 yard line. You get 25 yards in 35 seconds with two timeouts and you're in FG range......

i dont get the logic theyre using. yeah it doesnt immediately get you the win but it gives your offense a chance to give you the lead which they potentially wouldnt have had the opportunity to do again. its an understandable decision no matter how much time is left when you dont have the timeouts to force them to give you the ball back. yeah the ravens could kick a fg, but stating the obvious if they dont you win.

I only genuinely thought it was dumb that they didn't just go all out to Chase. Just lock in on him and throw him the ball. He had 260 of Joe's 420 yards. Why are you throwing elsewhere? Force Joe to throw him the ball by playcall because honestly Joe was making dumbass decisions with some of the 3rd/4th and shorts too.

I get why Burrow didn’t look for Chase on the 2pt

The ravens got tricky as fukk on that last play. They motioned a safety over as well with Chase and the corner. It really felt like he was gonna drop into coverage to cover the slant and double Chase.

That would have been risky as hell on Burrow to go to Chase when he had 1:1s everywhere on the other side of the field.
