aside from pretrial hearings, the whole point of a civil lawsuit is to get compensation. So basically, the whole point is to quickly settle. On the other hand if the client didn't want to settle, no attorney can accept a settlement without permission and they would have to go to trial.

Cochran. Everytime I see Crump involved in any case, the case is lost. Also something about him doesn't seem right. Now I understand he helps the families get money but based on these cases, any competent lawyer can get a settlement.

That's another thing about settling a case, sometimes the insurance will only pay so much money or the money won't get paid at all if the company/person goes bankrupt. a lot of factors to consider in settling a case when you get an offer you can tolerate
