the production on this project is subpar IMO.

That's been the issue since Tana Talk 4. It's weird because for a long time it seemed like Benny was super careful about the production he picked. For a long time it was Just Daringer, Alc, and Hit-Boy, and he really let the 3 of those guys steer the ship with the beat choices. He seems to use a lot more generic sounding production on more recent projects like this, Summertime Butch, Stabbed Shot 2, and Pyrex Picasso.

Yea Benny's problem the last few years has def been production quality (same with Conway).
Gunn routinely crafts dope projects b/c he has a great ear for beats, and the production helps carry b/c he's not gifted on the mic.
