There's still a lane for street rappers but they don't make songs that the masses of casual listeners will gravitate to. The only recent exception was Pop Smoke. Benny et al should focus on how 50 and Pop crafted hooks and songs.

Shh is all melody now…super heavily melodic for the most part…which is dope (these nigs can’t rap but that’s a whole other discussion, lol). Griselda and these types just talk over beats…us old fukks love that because we was raised off that…these babies now be bored senseless listening to these nigs rap . That’s why a lot of these youngins really flock to 50, he always really honed in on melodic street type shhit from the start…even before he got shot he was on that, the shhit was just type trash then lol, he had to perfect it
