probably cap. dont let them fool you. they putting shyt to the side and holding joints and probably piecing that shyt together and finding the right beats. yeah, they may get together and do a couple joints to add on but I can almost bet they stashing shyt for this.
They definitely have shyt in the stash. Conway has an entire album with 9th Wonder in the stash for example, and another Alchemist one in the chamber. They definitely got music, but it’s not totally cap either.

They don’t live in the same place anymore, and they all met up and recorded the bulk of WWCD in a few days.

Conway gets drunk (he’s a pretty bad alcoholic and he’s even talked about needing help recently) and plays mad shyt in his Instagram lives that he’s not supposed to play. Producers and other rappers get annoyed at him over it. He’s played a few things unreleased with Benny, but not a ton either. And I know he’s got lots of stuff he hasn’t played.

don’t get it twisted. I believe like you that they’ve got a lot in the stash. And you’re right that they don’t akways record in person together. Benny mailed in his verse for Spurs 3 for example. But I could also see a project like this getting the finishing touches put on it over a long weekend in person or something like that.

the internet
this is where he said it (timestamped)

they start talking about it...they drift off and then come back to it where Benny says they were talking at a Grammy party and picked out Alchemist.

- He said Jay Z hit him up and said he had an idea for a song they could do.
Benny flew out to see him, but at the last minute Jay had to go out of town

- A project with Conway is more than likely going to happen

Gibbs doesn’t put out nearly as much content in his music now. It’s usually 1 song per project now (like Practice, Skinny Suge, and Daddy Loves You). But if you go back, dude used to make some really fukkin dope concept joints, storytelling tracks, etc.

Queen, World So Cold, How We Do, Barely Made It, Homeboy’s Girlfriend, Deeper, Broken, Heaven Can Wait, Neverending Cycle, and lots lots more.

Unless you really just dislike Gibbs, a lot of songs from his early-mid 2010’s catalogue is full of pretty heavy material.
fax. i think brehs only listen to his madlib joints.

go listen to shadow of a doubt and tell me there aint a ton of depth on that project
