Trl and mtv made eminem a superstar though not his lyrical skills, if he was on bet uncut and had the same exposure as those other white guys hed just be how he was slim shady ep era doing mixtapes and shyt . They had him on there with boy bands and shyt , teenie boppers and white boys who liked limp bizkit and korn started fukkin wit him and girls who loved nsync and backstreet boys liked him because he looks like the boybands he was dissing , so he was crossed over to more than just hiphop and it made him a superstar he was pop culture, he got that because of being pushed by mtv and trl , theres no real dispute to what benzino said and eminem said it himself, i dont know why people keep saying his lyrical talent because that wouldnt make him a superstar just an above average rapper
