Owens is the embodiment of how an industry boom can affect things 29 years later.

Wrestling has a "larger than life" aspect when we were all growing up. The personalities (and stars) were huge :whoa: then you get a bunch of people who want to pursue their dream and more and more "average sized" people get through. Nowadays wrestlers are athletic as hell but you got guys who just aren't as believable as over the top "superstars". You got guys who are 5 10 5 11 barely taller than the ropes :mjlol:

That being said... Owens is losing credibility (to me... One mans opinion). He came in looking like a bully and a fighter and his weight gain seems to have changed his persona to sort of just a prick.

That happened a long time ago. He came in beating Cena clean and then as soon as Cena got his wins back he turned into just another chickenshyt heel.

I never have issues with that stuff. KO is the fat bully from primary school so I can see him as champ.

But I did think today when him and berg were face to face that he kinda looked like he would stand no chance of it was legit.

That being said calling him fat I've never seen him gassed and he's probably fitter than me and 90% of this board

Some of y'all really couldn't have watched pre attitude era stuff when a doughy but talented Ric Flair was beating the Sting's, Lex Luger's, Scott Steiner's, Roadwarrior Hawk's, Nikita Koloff's, Kerry Von Erich's of the world while being a chickenshyt heel who looked like a guy every guy in the audience over 21 could beat in a fight. That's wrestling 101, a heel champ that you KNOW would would beat the shyt outta you is tough to boo and heckle at house shows and such.

Owens loses 30lbs he should become a ref because would look extremely "normal" since he's not even 6ft tall.

I've never seen him all beet red in the face blown up gasping for air nor botching and injuring people due to being out of shape and clumsy.

Yes I preferred the NXT ECW Taz like version of him that first showed up on RAW but I'm fine with him a sitting duck champion, when done right a beatable champ with a lot of potential suitors creates a "who's gonna finally take this a$$hole out" intrigue.
