My last encounter with a taxi I was trying to go from college park to Laurel. Something like a 20min drive and dude tried to charge me 80. He tried to lower it to 60 and I still hit him with the
. Then he kicked me out the car. Had to have been because I was on a college campus because I've used a taxi to travel the same distance from Bowie to CP, and had to pay extra for trunk space and didn't pay more than 30. This is the same driver that didn't even know how to get to me and I had to walk to a 7-11 just so he'd know where I was. Also the same driver that only accepted cash [they all do this] and also the same driver that upon entering his vehicle had no idea how to get to my destination with no properly functioning GPS and he had a dash GPS and a smartphone

. The sheer incompetence for something somebody does to put food on their table was astounding. In any other service industry dude wouldn't even be able to work.

i was at union station a few weeks ago trying to get to trinidad and didn't feel like walking because it was 11 pm by the time i got off the metro. i asked a cabbie in the back of the line if i could hop in and he told me i had to get in line at the amtrak exit
