This thread is right on time. I stopped drinking soda 2 weeks ago and started reading again to better myself. Since giving up soda colors like green and blue seem brighter. My attitude is a little better as well. Let it be know that I usually drink 1-2 liters of soda daily.

Yes, a professional boxer would wash most people on the street.

Yes, BHop's longevity in the sport of boxing was incredible.

No, BHop was not dominating the sport of boxing at 51, like it was claimed in the first post. At 51, father time caught up to BHop, and the world saw him knocked out of the ring straight into retirement.

I rarely drink soda. Even when I get my monthly fast food, I usually throw the soda away, because I prefer to drink water.

If I never had soda ever again, I’d be fine.

What soda do you usually end up choosing before you throw it away?

Better yet, why not just ask for a water when they ask you what you want to drink if you're paying for it anyway?

I got like 10 years without drinking soda

:wow:

I stopped back in high school (sophomore year). I just remember I would have a Sprite every day at lunch and then one day at track practice, our coach casually said something like, "Y'all need to quit drinking that pop; it steals your oxygen."

Had no idea what he meant and didn't care to follow up on whether it was a fact or not; I just went, "Welp. Don't want that to happen so I guess I don't drink pop anymore." :manny:

What about Gatorade :lupe: y'all

Sugary as shyt. 36 grams of it, so about the same as a Sprite or Coke. Gatorade Zero is their sugarless version.

Man, it's going to be interesting what the narrative on energy drinks becomes in the future because those HAVE to be cutting lives short. I worked landscaping for a summer in college and there were dudes there that did that shyt year-round. All day, these dudes would slam Rip It energy drinks (hella sugar & caffeine) while smoking squares and trimming vacant lots, so you're breathing in gasoline fumes. They'd hit Church's for lunch almost every day and the shift didn't end until we were called in, so dudes would be at it on the Rip Its for like 12 hours a day. shyt was mind-blowing.

I usually ask for a Diet Coke, and I’m not going to drink tap water.

people drinking these things are fukking idiots. Sugar levels off the damn charts. Now it know some of this stuff “tastes good” but it just ain’t worth it down the line.

It's nothing like liquid crack. I can drink a 2 liter of Pepsi right now and won't "fiend" for another one for months. Go do some crack then come back and tell me how it goes...
So you only eat processed sugar 6 times a year?
