What the actual fukk are you talking about? How often did Republicans and Democrats stand together against Obama? I'm genuinely trying to understand what issues or votes you are referring to. The only thing I can think of are the moderate or righter wing dems, that stood alongside moderate and lefter wing reps, but even then thats like 10-20% of congress at the most.
Democrats held a majority for 2 years when Obama got elected and refused to work with him during those 2 years.

They could have passed anything but felt his policies were too far left, Republicans took over and forced Obama to the center in an attempt to get whatever he could done, causing the most stagnant Congress in history up to that point.

Just look up what Obama originally wanted with the ACA and bullshyt we actually got if you want an example.

Do your research breh.

The democrats refused to work with him? You are pretty much referring to a handful of senators in red states that represented their right wing constituents and pharma lobbies. In no possible scenario were they united with republicans in their pursuit of a watered down aca that republicans still didn't vote for.

The aca Obama originally wanted, he didn't have the political capital to pass, as evidenced by the fact he couldn't whip the votes for it.

What progressive do you imagine that ever existed could have passed a more left wing aca??

It wasn't just red state Democrats going against him, it was establishment Democrats that were worried about their corporate relationships.

I'm not gonna explain the obvious to you breh, do the research if you really want to know.

Your original post was about how democrats they stood alongside republicans.

Democrats in the Senate pushed obama care to the right and towards corporate interests and still did not get a single Republican vote, and obviously worked with obama to push something that became law.

The Democrats exposed themselves when they stood alongside Republicans against Obama's progressive agenda and forced him to the center at the cost of losing their majority. That was the moment I changed my party affiliation.

Exactly, they pushed it to the right to try and please Republicans instead of pushing left like they were suppose to do when they had the chance. They are so focused on bipartisan policy and incremental changes while the right wing pushes the party as far right as they possibly can. That is the problem with center establishment Democrats and why I dont fukk with the democrat party anymore.

Did Bernie endorse them as well or are we just using Ocasio as a catchall for Bernie now?
