Let's be honest, the best candidate for President at this point is the one who's possible election will cause the swift change of power in Congress.

shyt how much time do you have my nikka. I could write you a movie script.
I'm here brother:smile:

He's the president not the king. His party doesn't like him so you'd have a congress and the house, both parties, possibly uniting? Maybe. OR republicans start siding with him, in which case dems could still hold things up enough to not allow too much crazy shyt to happen. It might galvanize people, particularly minorities, into actually fukin voting. ?

How do you see it panning out?

The SCOTUS spot is definitely a concern, but even there he has to be confirmed.

Not just SCOTUS but all federal judge positions

And then when you factor in our foreign policy situation, which is fragile as fukk right now  I don't want this dude representing me in traffic court let alone with presidents of foreign countries

Throw in his complete disregard for any facts that don't make him look "brilliant" or popular.... dude is not fit to lead.

I don't see much purpose in what he "could" do.... I'm looking at his behavior and history to see what he WILL do, and it's not looking good. He "could" crack the code for code fusion. He "could" drop out of the race tomorrow. He "could" do a lot of things. But given his history, what do you think the chances are that he does anything but serve his own ego? Pretty fukking low.

(i'm playing the devil's advocate here primarily because I really want to discuss how bad things COULD actually get)

He can't declare war, that's still congress. While things are tense around the world they'll always be tense around the world. I don't see how he'd, being ONE man, would screw things up before the various checks and balances in place in the government would stop him. He's definitely not fit to lead, but that's why, if Bernie don't make it in, i'm considering voting for the fuker. Ultimately I'd rather suffer through no more than 4 years to reengage the american people into politics.

The GOP and DEMs have gamed the system. For the GOP the monster of hate and myopia has resulted in Trump leading. The fear mongering has boiled over and now they can't get people to be reasonable because they're so damn scared. The Dems are showing just how gamed the system is with their superdelegates. At least the GOP can always say, "it was the will of the people", the dems have flat out show that regardless of what the people want, "mother knows best". In both counts the attitudes are a reflection of what happens when you let power hunger people go unchecked. They need to be checked and the way that the system is designed they get checked a, by, ironically, other people who are power hunger (gop vs dems, scotus vs potus vs legislative) and b, by the electorate.

The first check, check by other powerful people, has eroded because they're all in collusion.

The second check, check by the electorate, has also eroded as a result of diminished participation.

Essentially the government is unchecked as a whole right now.

Trump getting elected fixes both. It'll fix the first check by virtue of noone, not even his party, really liking him. The second will be fixed because its my belief that the american people don't really want him there, unfortunately only 25% of them vote, and as it turns out at last a vast majority of that 25% is bat shyt crazy. Once people realize that their vote IS important they'll vote and things will get better.

That would be Sanders, as he's a true change candidate who would be riding a huge wave which usually helps all down ticket candidates, like Obama's near supermajority once thought impossible. 2nd place would be Trump, as how people would view him is a wildcard. I say they try to give him the White House, but not Congress if he wins. There's 34 Senate races going on, but only 11 that look like they could flip. 2 are Democrats and about 6 are in swing states. We hold that CO and NV Democrat and get those 6 seats.

Trump also loses House seats as well, and will get wiped further in 2018.

If you want Centrist Corporatism with a hint of progressivism, you SHOULD vote for Hillary. Ultimately, you will get some bread crumbs thrown your way. There may even be one or two valid reasons to vote for her over a Republican or independent candidate in order to ensure her victory.

If you are fukking tired of these corporate shills, who advocate war at every turn, who flip flop based on who is paying them that day, who abide by Reaganomics, then she is not your choice. If you want non-establishment candidates then she's not your choice. If you think the Iraq War and Libya were huge mistakes, she's not your choice. If you don't like the police state and the violations of your 4th amendment rights, she's not your candidate.

If we keep doing this "lesser of two evils" shyt, we may only progress inch by inch. In exchange for Clinton naming a 9th Justice, what do we give up? No one talks about the other end of the compromise
